KTM Intercom: the 9 Intercoms Compatible with KTM MyRide System

This article will discuss which intercoms are compatible with the new KTM MyRide system.

In light of all the many requests we received, we decided to visit the dealership to test the compatibility between the various intercoms we had on hand and the new KTM My Ride system.

This modern system allows you to monitor various parameters of your motorcycle effortlessly and manage features such as calls and music playback via Bluetooth devices via convenient buttons on the left side of the handlebars.

Before we begin, a quick preamble: I would like to thank the KTM dealer Biemmemoto who kindly allowed us to run tests on KTM Duke 390 and 1290 Super Adventure.

According to the dealer, the MyRide system is the same, differing only in the option (in the case of the 1290 Super Adventure) to get directions by connecting via the KTM MyRide app available from Google Play or the App Store.

This means that compatible motorcycle intercoms will be so with all models with the ability to install MyRide.

During our tests, we noticed that some models, once navigation mode was activated, stopped working correctly.

According to technicians, this is a software-level conflict once GPS is activated.

We have also found that sometimes it takes a MyRide or intercom software update to see some features removed, only to find them again in the next update.

    Let’s cut to the chase.

    Are you ready? Let’s begin

    Final considerations

We want to remind our readers that, to ensure proper operation of the KTM 1290 Super Adventure, it is recommended first to do the pairing between motorcycle-smartphone, and only then between motorcycle-intercom, and then connect the intercom and smartphone.

On the other hand, with the KTM 390, pair your phone to the MyRide system and then connect the intercom to the phone.

If you would like to tell us about your experiences with other intercoms and KTM‘s My Ride system, we would be happy to hear and treasure them to share with other users.

We will shortly publish the equivalent of this article, for BMW‘s connectivity system, for friends with the GS.

    Stay tuned!

    Kind regards
