    Why Choose Midland BT Mini

The Midland BT Mini intercom is a device with simple functions for people with basic needs who also have an eye for the aesthetics of their helmet.

With BT Mini you can connect to your smartphone to handle calls or your GPS to get directions, you can communicate with your passenger and listen to your favorite music.

The design is totally different from the Italian company’s other models, we can say that we don’t dislike the lines, but it feels a little cheap, as the British would say.

Midland praises its ease and speed of installation on the helmet, we say that for having so few functions, it probably could have been even less bulky.

BT Mini is a waterproof intercom and can be easily installed on any helmet, but it is not a universal intercom.

What you will find in the box

Inside the Midland BT Mini package you will find:

    • BT MINI control unit
    • An attachment/release system for the bi-adhesive control unit
    • Velcro set
    • “Wired” microphone (for full-face helmet)
    • “Wand” microphone (for modular and jet helmets)
    • Earphones
    • USB-C charging cable
    • USB wall charger

    Range of action

Midland BT MINI, being an intercom designed for pilot-passenger communication only, has a range that stops at 200m.

For us, more than enough for what was intended.

    Audio

BT Mini‘s audio quality is not on par with its bigger brothers, lacking automatic volume adjustment, for example.

However, the audio remains good up to 100 to 120 km/h.

    Battery life

Midland has not yet provided data regarding battery life, and we were unable to fully discharge it by checking its range.

As soon as we have the exact data we will update the article.

    Cons

    • many convenient functions are not available (see main features and functions)

    To whom it is addressed

I would recommend BT Mini to those who travel alone, perhaps in the city, with a few trips out of town to places they already know, because given its limited functions it is suitable for a motorcyclist who uses it to be able to be found while on the bike, to listen to music or talk to their passenger.

I would not recommend it to those who are planning trips and those who are always in a couple and like to share everything from music, to directions, to phone calls.

    Conclusions

Well, we have come to the end of this review on the newcomer Midland BT Mini: a revamped design, minimized features, and good audio quality make it an ideal device for those looking for the essentials from an intercom.
